You will be responsible for:

  • The Director of Birth Care Center has direct responsibility of the Birth Care Center units. 
  • The Director of Birth Care Center assumes 24-hour accountability for directing all activities related to observation, monitoring, education, orientation and training of personnel in a manner that encourages quality patient care, safe environment, and employee, guest and patient satisfaction.
  • The Director of Birth Care Center promotes an effective team environment and supports the Florida Hospital mission, vision, and standards of quality care.
  • Exemplifies the principles of leadership practices of SHARE, customer and employee satisfaction, and is a proactive liaison for physicians, employees, patients, families and guests. 
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, conflict management skills, human relationship competencies, team building and family/guest relationships. 
  • Responsibilities include the assurance that the staff adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
What will you need?
  • Current Florida RN licensure
  • Must maintain NRP, ACLS and BLS certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent 
  • Four years of management experience in the obstetrical and newborn care settings
