Work Hours/Shift:Full Time
You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Serves as a consultative resource to clinical staff in providing expert knowledge and role modeling of behavioral skills, critical thinking and decision-making that impact clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Designs and implements education programs (in services, competencies, computer-based learning, self-study, etc) to meet ongoing learning needs of nursing staff .
  • Collaborates with and provides consultation to nursing leadership to facilitate change in the patient care delivery methods to enhance efficiencies and patient outcomes
  • Provides leadership to make practice changes based on evidence-based practice.
  • Participates in professional nursing activities in department, hospital, community and professional organization.


What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Master’s of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of RN experience in hospital setting
  • Leadership experience
  • State of Kansas Nursing License
  • Current CPR certification within one month of hire
  • ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
  • PALS certification within one year of hire
  • Cardiac dysrhythmia class within 90 days of hire or demonstrates proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition
  • NIHSS within 6 months of hire
  • TNCC preferred within 1 year of hire
  • NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire
Job Summary:

Responsible for assessing learning needs based on nursing practice strengths and limitations; organizational strategic goals; patient safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.  Responsible for designing and implementing education programs to meet learning needs as well as evaluating and documenting program effectiveness in meeting organization and patient care goals. Supports department specific clinical practice, collaborating with nursing leadership to establish excellence in patient care for all age groups and fostering a patient-family centered environment.  Provides patient care as necessary.
