We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) position of AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) East Florida located in Ormond Beach, Florida. Reporting to the CEO of AHMG East Florida, the CFO will serve as an active member of the senior leadership team. This executive provides financial input and data for the strategic policy making functions of AHMG, as well as the operating and strategic decision-making activities of the CEO and senior management.

General Summary:

Responsible for planning and controlling all financial activities for the organization while maintaining compliance with overall policies. The executive is the financial counselor/advisor for the organization. The CFO plans, organizes, and administers the organization-wide programs of financial management and reporting and revenue cycle operations to best meet the strategic objectives of the organization. CFO is responsible for overseeing the coding (provider auditing, education and monitoring) function of AHMG. The CFO provides oversight and direction in the areas of compliance, managed care rate analysis, provider compensation plan administration and revenue cycle functions. The CFO is a member of the AHMG Operating Council and provides guidance and direction to the AHMG Governing Board as requested and required.

Job Duties:

Management responsibility for day-to-day financial and revenue cycle operations for AHMG East Florida.

•         Plan, organize, and control financial and revenue cycle policies and processes

•         Develop and present operating and capital budgets, financial statements, and reports

•         Develop and present billing and collection reports and other revenue cycle metric reports

•         Develop, implement, and adhere to all internal control policies and procedures

•         Practice effective cost management

•         Participate in strategic planning and operational decision-making for the organization

•         Take part in employment and performance reviews

•         Maintain relations with external auditors, financial consultants and third-party vendors

•         Support and enable Corporate Compliance

•         Profit & loss production reports

•         Budget creation for all entities

•         Coding (provider auditing, education and monitoring)

•         Accounts Receivable / Revenue Cycle oversight and reporting

•         Managed care rate analysis

•         Provider compensation plan administration and assist with design

•         Interface with AdventHealth Physician Enterprise

•         Evaluation and creation of proformas for all new and proposed physician practices & services

•         Coordination of third-party fair market value engagements

•         Participation in due diligence process

•         Participation in the recruitment process through presentation of practice proformas, compensation projections and physician interviews.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Education, Licensure and Experience:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting

•    Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting preferred

•    CPA preferred

•    Minimum five (5) years in healthcare financial management with significant physician practice experience

•    Ten (10) years in a senior management position preferred

•    Outstanding presentation skills

•    Identification and commitment to mission, philosophy, and goals of organization

•    People skills including motivating, communicating, and conflict resolution

•    Highly advanced financial skills
