Job Description

AdventHealth University, a Seventh-day Adventist institution, specializes in the education of professionals in healthcare. Service-oriented and guided by the values of nurture, excellence, spirituality, and stewardship, the University seeks to develop leaders who will practice healthcare as a ministry.
 
PRIMARY CUSTOMERS, PARTNERS, AND TEAM: 
At AdventHealth University (AHU), our primary customers are students, faculty, and staff.  Our partners are physicians, allied health clinicians and other employees of AdventHealth. 

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Student Admissions Recruiter - AHU helps ensure the growth and quality of prospective and current applicant pools for AHU. The Specialist communicates the mission of AHU, in the community, to prospective students, their families, guidance counselors and in all forms of communication on behalf of the University. Helps to generate new students for Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. Builds relationships with prospective students that have inquired about AHU and their desired program. The Specialist discovers any needs or concerns on the part of the prospective students, communicates how AHU and their desired program can best meet those needs and supports the students through the admissions process.  Communicates with prospective students by face-to-face, phone, email, video, fax and text.  Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Strong organizational, verbal, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
• People-orientation, self-motivation, process-orientation, and self-starter skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, web browsing, blogging and social media
• Proven ability to work independently, on a team, and effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to maintain strict adherence to discretionary and confidentiality practices

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Bilingual, particularly Spanish
• Proficiency with Goldmine or other CRM systems


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or other higher education field
• Demonstrated success working with students or customers in a highly professional and student/customer focused environment.
• One year of experience in higher education or related recruitment, outreach, or public relations


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
• Two years of Adventist higher education recruiting experience
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Current valid State of Florida Class “E” driver’s license and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth policy

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates behaviors at AdventHealth University in harmony with the “Four Words” Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship.

• Travels within a designated territory and builds relationships with all prospective students and guidance counselors within that territory. Communicates and explains the admission process through face-to-face interactions, follows-up, and maintains accessibility for questions and concerns.
• Reports to the Director of Recruitment and work together to review enrollment trends, manage and target specific recruiting efforts.
• Takes an active role in maintaining and updating the communication auto process in Goldmine (CRM) for prospective students and provides input for applicants.
• Maintain and analyze all marketing and recruiting efforts to determine future planning with the Director of Recruiting.
• Shares updates/trends pertinent to AHU admissions with Director.
• Attends meetings, seminars and workshops as requested.
• Works with the Event Planning Manager and Communications Center Manager to plan and coordinate group visits and events.
• Supports Marketing tours whenever available.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
